C30 / INSTALLER SUPPORT

What door is in front of you?

Practical installation help for security professionals. Start with your door type, then check the frame material and cable route.

First installation available: two glass doors.

Follow Roel’s workflow below. More verified installation examples will be added as the C30 community grows.

Double glass doors — first installation

Approximately 15–20 minutes for two C30 locks in Roel’s installation. This is an example, not a universal drilling plan.

  1. Close the doors. Bond the two strikes to the glass, as far from the hinges as possible. Mark the C30 positions in the top frame. ~2 minutes.
  2. Open the doors. Drill the two marked openings: Ø30 mm, 140 mm deep. ~6 minutes.
  3. Drill the Ø6 mm cable passages to the cable exit point. In this installation, the exit was near the emergency light. ~4 minutes.
  4. Pull the cables and connect the two C30 locks. ~2 minutes.
  5. Finish the openings, insert the locks and secure each C30 with three small Allen screws. ~1 minute.

Check the frame, available depth and cable route before drilling. For fire-rated doors, follow the door manufacturer’s approved installation requirements.

12-second illustrated overview; the film length is not the installation time.

Single door

A dedicated installation example is being prepared. Share a full view of the door, the top frame and the hinges so the team can help assess the mounting approach.

Aluminium frame

The frame profile and available internal space determine the mounting options. A photo alone cannot confirm drilling depth. Include the profile dimensions and cable exit location in your question.

Wooden door or frame

A verified wooden-door guide will be added here. Share the door and frame dimensions and explain whether you intend to install in the frame or use a surface-mount profile.

Metal door or frame

Share the frame profile, wall thickness if known and the planned cable route. The community can help identify what needs checking before choosing a mounting position.

Surface mounting with an extrusion profile

Where recessed installation is not suitable, an extrusion profile offers another mounting approach. Product-specific dimensions and fitting instructions will be added with the profile range.
